Most of us travel to our hometown during the weekend
Pairing up the most optimal driver and passengers
The app tries to solve the fundamental of car pooling i.e. suggesting people who stay near your route, and its upto to person who is offering ride and person taking the ride to communicate and plan the ride.
You authorise with Google and verify using the official email id.
Its a better user experience and we dont have build a seperate login module. And its more secure
Nothing!
You dont book a ride, You request for a ride.
Booking a ride: The app is responsible for all the things that happen
Request a ride: The scope of the app ends after the suggesting you the ride
Developers dont take any responsibility, Thats the universal truth!
Developers dont own the car, Its upto the consent of the person who is offering the ride.
You can communicate well in advance and decide on the place and time, The app doesnt doesnt track the rider or the requestor
No! We havent and we will not implement this feature
The app doesnt suggest what to pay and whom to pay.Every car has different fuel efficieny so we cant have fixed price and its not the problem we are trying to solve.
The fundamental problem in car pooling is knowing people who stay near my rotue/home,so we just focus on solving the fundamental
problem.
So we dont do tracking, payments, acceptance, rejection, Gender preference,Rating
etc etc. More features require more effort and thinking, more bandwidth =
more money, and we dont have any budget.
Other apps charge you money
and we wont.
We think so, If you find any flaws please catch hold of the developers
No need, nearest landmark would do and whatever you give, we store the destination ~1km away (This was bug in implementation, but later promoted as a feature)
The whole app is less than 500kb,We measure Time to be Interactive as our metric
On a Moto G (1st Gen) and on Slow 3G network these are the results
Page
load for the first time takes 3.3 Seconds
Subsequent load takes just
800 milliseconds
This is possible because of Service Workers!
The app is built on Firebase.
